I have always wanted to image the Swan Nebula as it is a beautiful area of nebulosity. The challenge is that it never rises high in the sky at the latitude of my telescope so I only get a few hours each night. However, I used every hour possible to capture the object and by late June I had enough data to start processing.

Here is a little about The Swan.
Messier 17, also known as the Omega or Swan Nebula, is one of the largest star-forming regions in our galaxy. It is located in the constellation Sagittarius, which is 5,500 light-years away from Earth, and contains one of the youngest star clusters in the Milky Way at only 1 million years old.
